I was sitting in a coffee shop not to long ago relaxing (When you work from home it's good to get out of the house every now and then).

When you work from home the one negative is it's easy to isolate yourself from the world, so you have to make a conscious effort to get out. You'll see what I'm talking about when get your chance to leave the J.O.B. world. J.O.B. stands for Just Over Broke.

Anyways I was sitting in this coffee shop hanging out. I got up and as I was about leave I noticed two of my former co-workers were sitting there doing some work.

I walked over and said "Hey, what's going on?"

They smiled and said everything was going great and asked what I was up to these days.

I said "Running my own my business, it's going great."

I Asked them the same question . . .

The long and the short of it all was they were still doing the exact same thing I left over four years ago.

But . . .

They did get new computers.

Still sitting there doing spreadsheets and busy work that in the end doesn't amount to much more than their boss knowing that they spending their time "Working".

It was hard for me to shake my head in excitement for what they were doing without thinking "Wow is this really all you guys are going to be doing 10 years from now if we cross paths again?"

If I knew the loved the J.O.B. it would be a different story, but actually I never did understand anyone liking their job whether they made a lot or a little at it. Living a lifestyle instead of a career is all about working as little as possible, and playing as much as possible because assets are working for you instead of you working for money.

These same people when I was working with them complained about how little they were getting paid.

Man oh man is that regular paycheck seductive. Go to work and get paid. You loose the ability to set your own value on your time and effort, but you get paid every week.

I don't suggest that you go out and quit your J.O.B just yet if it's supporting you, but don't let it hold you back from living a real lifestyle.

A paycheck can steal your life without you even knowing it. Look up 20 years later and all you have to say is "What the heck was I doing for the last 20 years?"

And the truth is, the only difference between people like you and I and them is we have the courage to dream the big dream and then take real life ACTION to get it.
